Hi I'm new to the forum and have recently picked up a 2009 zetec s 1.6.

First thing I notice was the Bluetooth, aux and USB aren't working.

I have done a bit of research before posting and have tried disconnecting the module an fuses to no avail. I haven't yet tried disconnecting the battery as I don't have the radio code.

However since Bluetooth USB modules are like hens teeth is there anyway of repairing the module rather than replacing it.

Does anyone know if its a hardware or software failure?

There is no radio code and you could always try the software update from the for website

Ooh right ok.

How do I do the software update if the USB slot doesn't acknowledge any devices?

It does sound like the module needs resetting.

Disconnect the battery for 10 to 20 minutes and see how you go.

Did you try unplugging the USB cable from the module (the smaller black wire as opposed to the massive plug)

Can you plug a phone in to see if it gets any power?

Ok so it's either the module or the cable that's at fault

Next cheapest option is to buy something like this - unplug USB from module and replace it with this (for testing purposes)

If it works, your original cable is no good - if it still doesn't work your module has failed.
