lee525exc
Hi im new and was after a bit of help please. I have an issue with my 56 plate 2.0 tdci focus originally it was the wipers that continually worked even without the keys in the car unless i removed the fuse, so i called a mate and he starts unplugging stuff and managed to trip the immobiliser. I have a flashing red light on the dash which flashes in a sequence of 1:6 and am now left with driving my old focus (not a bad thing i like it i just prefer my newer one). Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Lee
Stoney871
Code 1..6 is Faulty link between PATS and EEC v module check with FDS2000. Basically the wiring between the immobiliser and the ECU is either damaged or disconnected. Get codes read or check that all connections are correct. lee525exc
So if the wiring seems ok then it's a ford dealer job? I've had a mate plug a snap on diagnostics tool in to it and a cheaper one and my car will not let either have any communication with it. Thanks btw
stef123
Did you disconnect any of the wiring under the passenger side of the dash/foot well?
lee525exc
Yeah the big blue plug which was the only thing that clicked when I altered the speed of wipers but the car started again after that, it wasn't until my friend was unplugging things under the bonnet that it went pear shaped. I'm guessing that 's the last time you let your friend touch your car? You will need to systematically go through wiring and connections to see if anything is disconnected or looks funky. Another thing to do is check fuse 67 in the footwell box, that's the one which covers the immobiliser, and fuse 46 which is diagnostics. lee525exc
He's usually quite good but must of unplugged the wrong thing. I'll check the connections and fuses next time I'm back home. Thanks for the help I'm glad I joined.

Davidson321
I know this is an old topic but I'm having exactly the same issue after doing exactly the same thing as Lee above. I'd love to know how he fixed the issue
