Willy
The install is really easy. 1. Plug the Bluefin handset into your OBD port 2. follow the easy instructions on the Bluefin screen. It will ask you to turn your ignition on (DON'T start the car) and follow a set of instructions. It will save your cars original map onto the handset which takes about 10 minutes. once done turn off ignition, remove handset. 3. Install the Bluefin software from Superchips on your PC/laptop (Mac isn't compatible) 4. Plug the Bluefin handset into your PC with the USB cable provided. wait for the drivers to be installed. Run the Bluefin software and enter your personal details (internet connection required) 5. Connect to there server and upload the handset. 6. Wait for your map to be sent to you via email. bholm
Willy, you must have installed it. Tell us already! ;) I'm sad to see that the warranty doesn't extend to other European customers.. If they're confident that their product won't cause any damage, then it might as well be the same for customers outside UK. I'm not aware of all the legal factors, though. I'm surely overlooking something. Edit: Your answered as I was typing this, Willy. When will you get the new remap? Willy
In the next hour I'd say. It is a shame about the warranty outside the UK but superchips is a well recognised mapping company over here with a good reputation.

Varming
Am curious: What if you'd like to return to the original mapping - is that always in the Bluefin and you can then choose between which mapping you want to program or ?
domo85
Am curious: What if you'd like to return to the original mapping - is that always in the Bluefin and you can then choose between which mapping you want to program or ? It saves the original map on the device, when you plug it in and have the original map on the car it will ask you to install bluefin or if you already have the modded map on it will ask if you want to restore original.
Varming
It saves the original map on the device, when you plug it in and have the original map on the car it will ask you to install bluefin or if you already have the modded map on it will ask if you want to restore original. That is very user-friendly, I must say. If a new map comes out from you guys, is that then handled by some version number so that it knows you want to put a new map or do you have to return to the original map and then install the latest map? domo85
You just get an email that's says a new map is ready and to plug in the bluefin and run the desktop app and it does the rest for you doesn't matter if you already have the modded map installed to the car the bluefin will replace it with the new modded one and still save the original no need to swap back. Willy
9. Now out to the car an plug into the OBD port again. Turn ignition on (don't start) 10. Follow the on screen instructions. Your car will start getting a bit unsettled at this point and display some interesting errors. Just ignore them and carry on. 11. Once its all installed you'll get this message Keep following the remaining instructions then your done.
