gforce
Me either before I got the car! I'll see if I have any pics handy to explain, or maybe take a couple now when I'm out at lunch. Need some for the interior section on my impending build thread anwyay.
Dal.
I got some orange inlays for my ST badges from DMB for a couple of quid and they fit just fine :)
gforce
Cheers for that Dal, they look spot on. WIng badge inlays a good fit too yeah? Gonna order the badges off the bay this evenin then and get the inlays in 3M Carbon I think. Carbon should match well with my wing mirrors, but I'll order the grille and tailgate badges in black in case I prefer that to tie in with the black front lip and rear diffuser. Dal.
I haven't used the wing badge overlays yet but I don't see any reason why they won't fit a treat. Going to do my spare set in black soon (with orange inlay) and replace with the silver ones seeing as I have my black alloys back on again now.. gforce
Sounds good mate, you'll have to post up your results. Black with blue inlays would be another option for me if I decide I don't like the chrome. alloys could be going black too ya see to tie in with headlights, RS spoiler and black bumper sections, wing mirrors could be goin gloss black too in that case instead of carbon wrap. So many choices...!
Stoney871
In the dash pod you could fit a scangauge. I believe someone on here did it last year and it looked pretty good.
Dal.
Not sure about the RS spoiler if I'm honest.. bit too much if you ask me. Will go well with the rest of the black. Just got some black xenons myself which look much better than the silver ones. (Although my spare silver alloys will go back on in the winter with the silver xenons to match lol)
gforce
Clive, you're spot on there...think this is the one you're referring to... http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/34601-guide-to-fitting-scangaugeii-in-st-gauge-pod/ Dal, that was always my worry too about the RS spoiler! Couldn't get an ST one though, and even if I did I'd have needed to budget for paint as well as I'd never get one in my blue. This RS one came up locally though, a guy who thought it was too much for his taste as it was fitted to the car when he bought it. So he just wanted a standard one in return plus a few quid and given that it was already in black and wouldn't need sprayed I couldn't pass it up. Everyone local has told me to go ahead and fit it, as the RS, ST and even ST kitted cars are very rare round these parts, so the chances of parking up beside a real deal and looking cheap rip-off are slim to none! I plan on fitting it for a while and see how I like it. Can always come off again and be sold to fund an ST one, but my initial thoughts are that it could be a keeper...time will tell! Will stick it on this evenin weather permitting.
Stoney871
Seeing as RS spoilers can go for silly prices, you're best off hanging on to it.

gforce
Cheers for that Sal, much appreciated...looks great! I called in to a local exhaust centre on the way home, they wouldn't really be a specialist custom place or anythin, more standard repairs, but can still do a bit of basic pipe routing. They put it up on a lift and seemed a bit stumped on how they would route the piping round/under the wheel well, so clearly haven't done or seen one before! But did say it would be no bother to route one working pipe and a dummy tailpipe to match on the other side. Said it'd only cost about £80 for that. They had three stainless tailpipe options, not sure of the exact size of them, but I'd only be interested in either a rolled in or slash cut tip, and both fitted the bumper cut-outs lovely! Said if I sourced my own tailpipes it'd only be about £50, so will be having a snoop round before deciding. Told myself I don't intend spending a fortune on a performance upgrade exhaust, so seriously think this is the route I'm gonna take.
Lenny
In the dash pod you could fit a scangauge. I believe someone on here did it last year and it looked pretty good. +1 that was James132 who now drives a Mk6.5 ZetecS TDCiHowever he did fit the ST pod to a blue 3 door Mk2 Titanium which had the dash pocket already fitted, Also it was the same colour of dash interior as you Gary, Here is the thread, http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/34601-guide-to-fitting-scangaugeii-in-st-gauge-pod/ ScangaugeII mate, I can supply the perspex and matt black vynl, Or If you want to send me a pod and scangaugeII I'll make it up for you for free,

ukphillad
Absolutely awesome job mate :) Well impressed with that car and definitely looks the part now as well :D Dunno if you're into this , but if this was my car the perfect finish to this would be to get a set of Coils in and lower that bad boy down :D Also improves handling as well , never mind looking like a little devil :P
gforce
Lenny, that is some offer! I'll def put that on my list then, but will keep the other bits as a priority for the mean time. If/when i get round to it though, you'll be getting a call! ;) Sal, I'll drop you a PM about the pipes. Charlie, thanks very much bud, glad I've finally got to this point! Phil, cheers for the compliments pal. The car's already lowered about 40mm I reckon, so think it'll just be staying that way. Ride's pretty hard as is, and clearance can be an issue on some of the roads and tracks I be on, and even some speed bumps, so won't be goin any lower. They do look nice on coils though I'll agree with you there!
gforce
So I did a bit of de-badging this evenin... few pics below of the Titanium, transforming into a Titan, then of course a Tit (snigger!), then an S T, and eventually a smooth de-badged rear end. Had only really planned on taking off the Titanium badge, but before I knew it I had the Focus off too! Ah well, can always be replaced if the notion takes me. The new 'S T' badge...can't see it taking off in the popularity stakes! Also got a night time shot of my xenons, LED sides and CREE fogs, but hard to get a decent pic to show them properly. Oh, and I fitted my spoiler tonight too! :D Was wet all evening, and I had nobody around to give me a hand, but I couldn't resist while I had a bit of spare time. Was dark by the time I was done, so hopefully some daylight shots to follow in the morning. Might fit my wing badges tomorrow too, thinkin of waiting til my inlay set arrives from DMB.

Hope you remembered the silicone around the bolt holes bud.
gforce
Yes and no... I remembered that they were needed alright, but as this was only really a 'trial' fit to see if I'm gonna keep it, I didn't bother applying the silicone. On opening the boot this morning though after a wet night I can see exactly why they're needed! I also didn't bother snipping the plug, but rather just snipped the wires from the new brake-light and put them into the old plug and taped it up. Quite like the spoiler so I think it'll be staying on, so will add the silicone asap. Few pics taken this morning below showing spoiler and de-badged rear...

Jay Ali
Good luck with it mate. Can be a frustrating process but very satisfying when you get a bargain or two! Thanks Jay, any tips on the exhaust and badging mate? Thanks Bazz, real professional outfit they are. Insurance approved and all that, so they know what they're doin! Was worried with supplying second hand parts they'd have a bit of trouble getting good fitment, but it's all spot on! The exhaust, I got mine done in chadwell heath both connected for 300 n a tip of my choice let me know wat ya think n I'll get their details again for ya The badges I'd say gel overlays from dmb graphics
Jay Ali
That rs spoiler looks crazy Iv been wanting to put one on but all ma mates av put me off it saying its gonna look ott Gonna show all em your car n rub it in now lol
Dal.
As I thought - looks too much IMO. As long as you like it though then that's the main thing :)
gforce
Cheers Jay! I think your car would suit one rightly too! Don't worry about gettin details of your exhaust place, I'm over on the Emerald Isle here so won't be much good to me. Think I'm gonna go ahead with the local guy anyway as a cheap cosmetic option for the meantime, maybe get a proper upgrade down the line. That's no worries Dal, every one on here is entitled to their opinion...even if you are wrong. Haha, just kidding mate. Always bugs me when people post on an open public forum then only allow/listen to opinions if they agree with them! Anyway, I digress... The RS spoiler is always a risky one, and certainly seems to split the opinions down the middle, even when fitted on a proper ST. It's a one of a kind round here though and I do quite like it, so think I'll stick with it for a while yet. If locals/mates start taking the michael then I might re-evaluate! Quick couple of pics whilst I was out and about in the Hills of Donegal this avo...really need to brush up on my photography skills. Check out the backdrop and I still can't seem to get a 'wow' pic! Nearly feel bad about spoiling the view with my car stuck in the middle!
Stoney871
Your second photo looks pretty scenic to me. Spent some time around the Donegal coast, lovely place if a bit breezy.
