There are companies that provide this service, a search on the internet for someone near you should chuck up some good results.

If the owner was on injected drugs them a good check for hidden needles or obvious signs of blood spotting would be a good idea too.

The filthy devils do have a habit of sticking needles in the most obscure places.

I'd lend you my sniffer dog but it's a bit of a trip for me.

Spray everything down with something like Dettol and vacuum thoroughly even though there's no carpets (especially around the skirting boards).

Also use spray bleach for kitchen surfaces and bathroom/toilet to help destroy any blood borne bugs (hospitals still use bleach to kill MRSA as it's most effective)

Give the place a good airing out to avoid any mould spores as druggies don't tend to open windows very often.

Something like this-

In America they call them bug bombs.

When helping to renovate apartments in Michigan with a work colleague I went lo one property that as soon as I entered I started feeling itchy.

My legs were covered in cat fleas, suffice to say clothes straight into a boil wash and me to a hot shower.

A bug bomb in every room and a good vacuum later and the property was sorted.

if you go to your vets and ask for flea bombs :) Do not set them off while there's animals in the house! read instructions, but should be safe for your dog after 12 hours i think it is.

bleach EVERYTHING!!! make a solution up in a spray bottle and spray the floor boards and allow the place to air. make sure you wear a face mask whilst spraying!

BE VERY CAREFUL IF NEEDLES ARE INVOLVED,i worked on a refurb many moons ago and they had specialists in to DEEP CLEAN the houses,i went to take some archs off and a !Removed! needle fell down from the top of the door frame.and that wasnt the only 1 i came across.

also enquire at your local authority as they often know the people who do this kind of work.
