KAR
I'm trying to identify which cars are wired for cruise control and which are not and need your help. I've spoken to Ford Techincal Support but they can't help. Can you look at the GEM number on your fusebox and let me know the last two letters. Please put your response on this thread so that other users can benefit from the information. Please also state model year and whether you have cruise control or not. I attach a photo of my GEM number. My response is: BD-2010-no The fusebox is in the passenger footwell below the glovebox. Remove the clip holding the fabric cover, you will now see the underside of the fusebox. Slide the catch to the right and the fuse box hinges downwards. jeebowhite
Take a look at the Focus Guides for fitting cruise control, you will see some numbers over there as well.
137699
It's easy - if your car is a Titanium, Titanium X or Titanium X-Sport, it's wired for Cruise control. If it's a Zetec or LX, it's not.
KAR
It's easy - if your car is a Titanium, Titanium X or Titanium X-Sport, it's wired for Cruise control. If it's a Zetec or LX, it's not. But Cruise Control is an option on a Zetec which makes me wonder whether the wiring is in place or not, thus asking other owners to feedback their numbers. KAR
Take a look at the Focus Guides for fitting cruise control, you will see some numbers over there as well. I have read through this, but the GEM for the Focus is different to the Galaxy/S-Max thus my asking for Galaxy/S-Max owners.
137699
IF the option was chosen the wiring was added, otherwise it's not there. There has been a lot of coverage on this on the smax owners club in the past. Suffice to say it's a VERY big job to retro-fit to a zetec.
