SeanW
I did some seasonal work as a Ride Operator at Pleasure Island Family Theme Park, Cleethorpes First PROPER job would be the one I'm sort of doing now lol Well, technically I'm a paid student...but next year (hopefully) I'll qualify as an Officer Of the Watch (Unlimited) I'm not a sponging student...although I am being paid by the Government, so as well as a student, I'm a Civil Servant and Merchant Seaman lol Imagine the fun I have explaining that one!! Especially when people mis-hear RFA as RAF
Stoney871
Started as a Butcher/Slaughter man, next moved to the RAF then Private Military contractor working for the US doing convoy escorts/bodyguarding for VIP's in Iraq. Now, (as many know), I'm a Copper, did Armed Response before moving to Dog handling.
DanGersFord
My dad used to be a butches but he's crippled with arthritis now so cant work anymore :(
Stoney871
It does play havoc with your hands/arms. A lot of effort holding a small knife handle for hours on end and loads of twisting your wrists for angle of cuts. I used to have to douse my arms with Ralgex deep cold spray as the arm cramps were horrible. Still get cramps in my hands now and then, also loads of problems with wrist and finger ligaments due to Tendonitis and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Highly likely I'll get Arthritis at some point too. hubby1959
I've had a few jobs over the years, started out on the markets with my grandparents, then worked for a bank, then went on to be a truck driver, owner/operator, and lastly worked for a small firm called ericsson, which went on to become sony ericsson, I'm now a full time carer for my wife, who's severely disabled. And out of all the jobs I've had, this one is the hardest

jeebowhite
My first 'proper' not quite part time job, was at the age of 15, working in Pizza Hut as a chef :) My first 'proper' part time job was a second line technical support for an Internet service Provider. My first 'proper' full time job was a chef within Brewers Fayre.

b1g_dav3
My first proper job is here!! Sleeper agent. I sleep. A lot. This was a poor excuse for humour.
jeebowhite
lol poor effort Dave, must try harder :D As for the official chef... hmmm... Glad those days are long behind me. But I can still cook a mean steak :D Unfortunately both my food placements involved only some cooking, the rest was microwaving, and frying. I think the term "microwave technician" should have been the true job title, instead they tended to consist of phrases like "starter chef" and "plate chef" - the latter was accurate, you just plate what you take out the microwave... Stoney871
As a Butcher I had to know how to cook so I could advise customers so I'm pretty handy in the kitchen. Preparation is half the fun and good prep makes a good meal.
jeebowhite
and good ingredients! but when you visit pub chains and the likes, they tend to have things frozen and just reheat!
