Little things like changing the head light bulbs, changing the colour of the badges.. maybe spraying the alloys and bits if you're good at that kind of stuff?

How much are you looking to spend?

It is... But the refitting not so.

You need to be mad careful not to mess up the switch, if honest I'd recommend removing the entire unit. Then check fuses if the light won't work after, they blow fuses for fun.

I'm currently in the process of tidying up the interior by dyeing or recovering the headling, spraying or covering the trims on the pillars.

I've found all the little things slowy add up and make a huge difference

Think I am for doing this as well through time, it would be good if you could upload some photos of the car when it is finished so we can have a look. :)

Thanks for the reply, I want to changed my interior courtesy lights from normal bulbs to LED'S but cant seem to find ones to fit my ford fiesta mk7 Style. When I search on eBay it keeps saying everyone is not compatible with my model of fiesta? Any ideas?

Also Im for window tints in September just before my new insurance quote is due, and DMB graphics could be a good idea thanks. :D

ignore the compatibility, if its the right bulb (festoon I think?) and the right size, then it should fit. I bought my 42mm blue LED interior lights from eBay for £3, it insisted my car wasn't compatible... and it is :D

Festoon bulbs come in 38mm and 42mm but either will fit with judicious bending of the contacts.

Do you know if it is 5w or 10w bulbs I would need for my interior courtesy lights?

When I took the interior courtesy light out this morning for a look this is what the bulb looks like:

Does anyone have an idea of how you remove it from the black casing?

Also is anyone able to send me a link to an LED bulb which I could get to replace this?

Thanks in advance. :)

I have yet to find any 5w/10w LED's as I want to replace my other lights as well as the festoon, but they just dont seem to exist.

The other thing is I cant seem to find any 501 wedge LED's where the light isnt focused directly forward :(

That's a W5W (AKA T10 or wedge) bulb.

It just pulls out of the black cap and look like this when removed-

Couple of bulbs you can look at-

Ok thanks a lot :) .

Putting the ones second from the bottom in my car wont make it come up with an error wil it?Because when reading up on some of them it stated:

Some specific vehicles will require Canbus Error Free bulbs in order to work correctly?

Do you know how I find out??

The idea of a canbus error is it should warn of a blown bulb due to the change in resistance within a lighting circuit.

The reasoning is that because an LED bulb pulls far less power than a standard incandesent bulb an error system will see it as blown.

To put it into context though, no member of this forum or anyone I know has ever reported a canbus error on a Ford

Ok thanks I've managed to change the bulb in the back light to a white LED but when I went to do the same to the front I cant seem to be able to prise the case off to change the bulb, any ideas?

Use a blade screwdriver between the side of the light closest to the windscreen and the surround and lever the fitting out.

It's a good idea to pop the fuse out first as Fords seem to love blowing courtesy light fuses.

Just to let yous all know I've now successfully fitted LED's to both of my interior courtesy lights without blowing amy fuses :D.

At the moment I have blue LED'S in as it's the only bulbs I had handy but have now ordered some white ones which I am waiting on to be dispatched. Here is a picture of the end result:

(Will obviously look a lot better when dark).

Thanks again for everyones help!! :) :P
