ChrisGG
I have just changed the key battery, with no problems doing it. The first time I did it, it worked once and then stopped and gave me the 'key battery low' warning when I started the car. I thought this meant that I had maybe got a dodgy new battery, so I bought another one and changed it again. Same result. Is there something else I need to do? Nathan_M
The car is only a year old, my 2004 fiesta is still rocking the original battery so i doubt the battery is flat in the first place, this sounds like a Ford dealer trip, it must be under warranty anyway so any work will be free, they should replace the battery for free anyway, otherwise check the contacts are clean in the key and try again.
