FiestaZS90150
http://www.european-parts.net/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/160_162/products_id/1027 really like the effect this gives. So i checked out my car and i have between the dash and the top of the glove box, there are 3 slots which i guess this LEd strip will slip right into? Anyone know of this? But as for the center console light i have nothing to hold in place (no slot) Would like to know if people have installed this... I havent looked if there is wiring behind the dash for it... Cheers
iNath
The center console one sits above the black plastic of the cubby hole, behind the heater controls, and shines through holes in the top of it. Photos showing location and wiring is located here: http://fiestawiki.net/tiki/tiki-index.php?page=Ambient%20Lighting If the MK7.5 is like the MK7 (I have no reason to doubt otherwise) the lives aren't live until activated. FiestaZS90150
Oh thanks for that link answers all my questions and even installation that I hadn't thought about yet. I will check it out tomorrow it the wirin is there. How do I know if the wiring is activate or not before I buy the light? I don't want to buy the light and then go too my ford dealer and have them say that don't know how to activate... I'm saying this cause I live in France and I talked to them about mountune an they had never hear of them lol. Strange but I don't want them saying that they haven't heard of software to activate the ilight... I So can I check some how if it is supplying power or not? FiestaZS90150
I also checked and I have no holes under the heater controls for light to shine through. Too be honest I don't really want that light there I only want the one on the glovebox actually.
iNath
On the MK7 in the UK only the Zetec & Titanium models came with these lights from the factory. On the Zetec-S I found mine already had the wires but they weren't active so I had to figure out how to reprogram the car to turn them on. It's not something your dealer would know how to do unfortunately.
FiestaZS90150
Oh these are built into certain fiestas I didn't know that. So I thought these were additional lights that could be installed afterwards but ford hadnt put any on there cars. So how did you go about making the wiring work? FiestaZS90150
I work for a company which designs and creates interiors for VIP jets, I know a guy who works in the electronic department, might give him a shout to see of he can find a way of knowing if its live or not before I order
