frostman83
My 59 plate focus leaks from the washers into the bonnet causing streaks. It stops if I don't use them. But it's anoying. Can I just replace the nozzles myself? Would it be a tricky Job? I presume it's leaking where the rubber seal is attached to the bonnet? Any help would be great. artscot79
the dribbling down the bonnet happens on all focis theres nowt wrong with the rubber seal or the washer jets i havent found anything that stops it even one way valves still allow it to dribble out

alkyz89
i heard the one way valves have worked for some people... im yet to try it myself but im looking to solve this problem aswel.... spent ages cleaning the car, one short motorway trip and the bonnet is covered in dry water marks!! technically i dont see how one way valves would work as they still allow water out (obviously lol). i wonder if there is like a compression valve sort of thing so it needs a greater deal of pressure to allow water through... its a stupid example but similar to the design of a lucozade sport bottle lid!!! maybe some one way valves require that added pressure hense why some have worked?? jimrex
Quite a few car manufacurers integrate the washer jets into the plastic part at the base of the windscreen - shame Ford don't do that... agree with above, spend ages getting a nice shiney, streak free bonnet and then after a while they've dribbled again! Stoney871
A tiny dob of silicone sealant to the bottom of the jet apeture can help.
