Fiesta Ecoboost 125 Remap

Recommended Posts

I have just been in contact with TDI Tuning, they will re map your car or you can choose to use one of their tuning boxes.

I used to have one on my Jag and they are a good bit of kit.

Talking to them they are saying a power increase of between 150bhp - 152 bhp and a torque figure of 204 N/M.

These boxes are £289.99 and are plug and play so you can remove these when ever going to the Garage and they are completely untraceable which I can vouch for as Jaguar never knew I had one on my car.

The other bonus for these is that as they are a plug and play management system none of the factory safety features are removed.

I have ordered my new tuning box and it should arrive early next week.

Also with these is that if you change your car you can have them re mapped for your next car.

This is a good company and a good piece of kit and with the increase of power for the price is significantly cheaper than the Superchips Bluefin.

Just another option which I would recommend.

I don't really understand the obsession about numbers. 5-10 HP more or less etc. It's how it drives on the road that matters. Just get your cars mapped. It's a semi ST now :-)

Says the guy quoting 150bhp lol

I agree as long as the car drives well thats the main thing, if you look at tuning on the Focus ST 2.5 you had tuning companys giving maps with big numbers but Mountune had a lower number but because of the way the power was produced was as fast if not faster.

The main reason for my post is that there is now a tuning company producing Tuning Boxe's or remaps for all ford Ecoboost engines.

These give similar performance increses to your remap but at a fraction of the cost and they are plug and play so warranty wont be void as they are untracable.

Fiorella says:

Hello Darren. My name is Fiorella how can I help you?

Darren says:

Hi

Darren says:

Just wondered if you currently offer remaps on the new fiesta 1.0 turbo 125 ecoboost engine?

Fiorella says:

can you please provide your reg number ?

Fiorella says:

What a coincidence we have done a rmap today for the same vehicle

Fiorella says:

25% more power up to 150PS and Torque up to 204Nm

Darren says:

Hi yes it's XXXXX

Fiorella says:

thanks i check the details

Fiorella says:

It was a tuning box not a remap - I apologiese

Fiorella says:

CRTD2 Petrol Tuning box - 25% more power up to 150PS and Torque up to 204Nm

Darren says:

I see so a box that stays connected or a box you just plug in and then take bk out

Fiorella says:

Yes the box is plu & Play and can be removed at anytime, taking the vehcile back to normal standard

Fiorella says:

is a Twin channel system, that connects to the Turbo Boost and fuel sensor

Darren says:

Is it traceable once installed?

Fiorella says:

if it is ON is visible YES, but if its removed the car will go back to normal, so even if a dignostic check is run on the vehicle it will not show that the box was ever plugged in

Fiorella says:

the Box does not leave any trace on the ECU

Darren says:

how much is it, does it come with any kind of warranty and when will it be shown on your website?

Fiorella says:

It comes with 3 years warranty & 14 days money back guarantee, same for all our products. The cost is £289.99

Fiorella says:

we are in the process of launching our new products and the website is currently being updated. Hopefully will go live at the end of the month

Just been on the phone to Autospecialists and they are looking for someone that wold be willing to let them use their car as a test car, they want to do a big intercooler, induction kit, crossover pipe and all that sort of good stuff. Unfortunatly I live to far away from them. But they have asked me to post on the forum that they are looking.

Yeah but on the other end I only got 237 nm at peak (although the engine was perhaps a little too warm when it got tested). Point is, it's just a number :-)

h

Apparently on some (more recent) ECUs a tuning box leaves a trace that can be detected by the dealer, even after the tuning box is removed, allegedly

It won't matter if it's shows or not cos it won't void your warranty. Any problems would be fixed under the guarantee from the chipping company.

I told my ford dealer I chipped my ST at a year old and they weren't interested.

Was hopping for 20 bhp extra with no extra mods :(

They are probably not wanting to make exaggereted claims (you all know how different dynos can show different results and its open to interpretation)

Or they want to encorage you to buy the phisical modifications as well

Yeah probably.

I'll keep looking and see what Superchips bring out.

May consider an intercooler to but don't want a loud exhaust and induction. I'm past that now ;)

A larger intercooler does not add noise and other modifications do not nessesarily need to add noise, its just what many consumers appear to want.

Superchips does a Bluefin remap for the 1.0L ecoboost as fitted in the Focus - (claimed 145Hp 227Nm)

http://www.mybluefin.co.uk/curves/10%20EcoBoost%20125PS.pdf

If they can do this with the Focus why not for the same engine (1.0L 125PS ecoboost) in the Fiesta?

Is the pumaspeed link just for the remap or the crossover pipe and silicone hose as well or do I have to buy these separately
