Hi tom,

Yes these wheels will be a straight fit to your motor,

May I suggest lowering on Eibach springs from ford after fitting the wheels

This will make the wheels fill the arches and your motor will sit the same height as the Zs

Please note: bigger rims result in greater "unsprung mass"

So if your fiesta is a 1.1 or 1.2 you may suffer considerable power loss as result of fitting bigger heavier rims,

Handling and cornering will be fantastic on a fiesta lowerd on 17's but if you engine is less than 95bhp then you will feel a reduction in 0-60 performance after fitting 17" wheels.

The price you got for all 4 is very good as it is for genuine ford rims excluding centre caps,

I paid £285.00 per rim for mine from ford,

You could go to your local ford dealer with the part number like I did,

Then purchase one rim per month,

I recommend Avon ZZ3 tyres for maximum grip,

Diesel has higher torque levels so you should be OK mate,

I've a 1.6TDCi remapped to 125bhp 297nm torque and when I upgrade from 16" to 18" wheels I found a reduction in initial take off speed.

Won't touch the arches neither you could fit 19's on standard suspension before touching the arches

The overall circumpherence of the 17" with tyre will be the same size as your existing wheel

The difference is you will have more rim where you currently have tyre side wall

And a lower profile tyre which will be better on cornering and motorway speeds.

So your spare tyre will work with the 17" just the same maybe a 5-10mm difference in circumpherence

Ride height will be the same.

No prob,

205/40/R17 sounds about right maybe 35

There are online tyre calculators where you enter your existing tyre size and profile,

Then enter the size of rim your moving to

And it will tell you the best matching profile for the new size rim,

Google "tyre size calculator"

If you live in the country I'd fit 40 for that extra 5mm of cushion but its only 5mm difference in circumpherence,

Ford sell the Eibach lowering kit too so I'd ask your local dealer for a price they range between £160-£200 and ensure the Eibach kit you purchase is not only for mk7 fiesta but also for the 1.4TDCi

Petrol lowering springs and diesel lowering springs are different because diesels are heavier but I see the kit you linked says all fiesta models so they must be OK,

But the focus has two types of lowering springs one for petrols and one for diesels.

Also look for rear camber alignment bolts,

The cost under £30 for the pair and allow correct camber alignment of the rear wheels after lowering,

Prevents squat and prevents excessive wear on the inside surface of the tyres caused by negative camber.

McGard locking nuts, best on the market.

I ditched all my ford nuts and locking set when fitting the 18's I fitted Mcgard instead.

Any 1 piece steel nut

Ford nuts are alloy with tin plates over them, pure dirt

The tin covers slipped off mine and I had to tap the covers off with a screwdriver and hammer,

Resulting in the 19mm nut becoming an 18mm nut so the wheel brace didn't fit

Avoid this by purchasing 1 piece structured nuts,

And lock nuts well ford ones are good but if you have the 4 different anti-theft keys from ford then you can remove anybody's

That's why I chose mcgard anti-theft nuts.

The locking nuts are good mate

But those nuts are the ones with tin plate covers there likely to come off when removing resulting in 18mm nuts

Search for M12x1.5

These look to be 1 piece construction perhaps contact the seller to be sure

Yes I'd get that fitted if fitting 17" rims to prevent the wider tyre from rubbing the inner arch on full lock

I.e. when parking

I purchased the focus steering rack limiter kit and had it fitted to mine prior to lowering on the 8.5" wide 18" wheels.
