Drivers Seat Stuck

6 posts in this topic

I've got a 54 plate 3 door and I can no longer fold the drivers seat forward to let people get in the back (passenger side is fine) the handle lifts up fine but it doens't 'click' and the seat wont fold forward (seems to want to more on the right side than the left)

I've got to reaplace the plastic strip down the side of the passenger window as it is (and the exhaust!) so I'm hoping this isn't going to be another expensive fix - or is it something I can get my husband to do for me.

I wouldn't be bothered but I'm pregnant and I want to be able to get into both sides of the back seat

The plastic strip literally just clips into place so your husband should be able to do it no problem http://www.fordpartsuk.com/shop/ford_fiesta_mk6-outer_front_door_moulding_lh_3dr_f_1473663_c_118.htm

In regards to the seat issue it sounds like the cable which tilts the seat has either become disconnected or snapped so you'll need to find out and then take it from there :)
