The Dark Knight Posted July 28, 2013 Share Posted July 28, 2013 A couple of weeks ago I polished the car but some of it got onto the black plastic near the windows and wing mirrors. Also got some on the black strips along the roof. This has left white marks which won't come off with normal household multi surface polish and it won't wash off either. Any thoughts on what's best for this? I was thinking a back to black type of product but thought I would see what you guys recommended. Haha good plan :) it's honestly the best tip I've been shown myself. You can forget all these £££ "wonder" products. I turn to my trusty £1 asda rubbers every time :p. Torque Posted July 29, 2013 Share Posted July 29, 2013 Pencil eraser will clear any polish or wax marks from smooth black plastic, for textured you need smooth peanut butter. If for a strange reason neither of those work your best bet is to apply some more of the product thats caused the marking and buff it off immediately. To darken, protect and feed there's a few good products about but the best I have found is Chemical Guys Natural look dressing although there's a new Sonax product out which I haven't tried yet but it's getting rave reviews on detailing sites.
