Going to order privacy shades for focus. While about to order the climair ones I came across a company on eBay called privacy shades UK. These look like they work the same as climair shades but are a little bit cheaper. (Although not by much)

Has any one heard of this company or have the shades from privacy shades UK?

Are these blinds the same build quality as climair or wud climair better?

Any one with these blinds what make are yours? ( I know Lenny's were climair and looked well from his pictures)

Should I go for the climair privacy blinds or the ones from privacy shades UK? I'm looking to order today so any advice wud be greatful.

Thanks.

Privacy shades UK are the main retailer, but I would suggest look at "vanshades" heres the ones for your car:

I foudn them cheaper still and equally good quality.

What ones wud look more like tint and be of better quality? I though from some pictures that some shades looked a bit grey rather than black? (Maybe just the PIC though) the climair ones Lenny had looked good and black.

Does anyone have installed pica of the vanshades or privacy shades ones?

Also wud the climair ones be tougher material and more hard to see through in color of the shade or are they all the same??

Thanks.

OK took the plunge and went with the ones from vanstyles. Hopefully they are a good job.

Ive got vanstyles shades, had them three years, other than a little tear (about an inch long) where i caught them putting stuff in the boot, they have worked great.

The good thing is you can remove them if you want to such as night time, unlike tints where your stuck with them all the time. Also you can open the windows to allow air (no more then half open though) in and still have the shades up to stop the sun.

I did this recentlly Steve, were we park at work, the car is in a car park away from any cover, so the sun just burns the car. I got into the car most days and it was over 50 degrees! In the end, I opened both rear windows entirely and the shades allowed the breeze in, and kept grubby little hands out! made all the difference, the car was only about 20-30 degrees on average!

I dont think I would go for a tint, even if I could!

a set of wind deflectors also go well with the shades.

That way you can open the windows an inch or two to let the air flow. No one can see the windows are open as the deflectors cover them, no flies or bugs get in as the shades are there ad you can also do it while its raining and the deflectors keep the rain out.

due to the sunny weather we have had lately, I began to think, with the shades being black they may actualy absorbe the heat and make the car hotter, so I bought a roll of this

http://www.wickes.co.uk/thermal-insulation-foil-roll-600mmx8m/invt/210022/

took each side shade out and used them as a template to cut the foil to match, then stuck them back in with the foil between the shades and the windows.

Yeah the car looks a little strange, black car with silver windows but it really helped, and the good thing is, once the sun goes, its a few minutes job to take them out and roll them up till next year.

Wise Idea!! Top consumer advice!

If only you could get these shades on the front windows and the windscreen too! :p

ah well, i used the same insulation roll to make a blind for the windscreen too, so only the front side windows and the tailgate window dont have it on, although they may be next.

The only problem with the stuff is, I cant look out over my shoulderto check the blind spot, so I either bang my head on the window or on the sunvisor when i lean forward to look out
