Rust Bubbles Showing On Rear Arch

Hi all has any one checked their rear arches for rust just lately I washed my 10 plate zetec s over the weekend and spotted 2 rust bubbles on the nearside arch theres no sign of any stonechip damage or anything else not impressed at all taking it to the stealers tomorrow to see what they say.

if there isnt a stone chip i expect its from the inside of the arch.

id get it done asap though so it doesn't become a bigger issue.

You should be covered by the corrosion warranty, whip it in to Ford I'd say. Needs doing ASAP.

That's a bit worrying. Can't see any on mine yet but I've not been too impressed with the durability of the paintwork on either of the Mk 7's I've had. I've got a lot of fingernail/general scratches all over mine even though I am extremely careful.

Good news it should be done under warranty took it in today and they said its the wheel arch liner that just soaks up water then rubs under the arch causing rust from the underside sounds like another very poor design from ford

Ramps, Thanks for the post. What we will need to do is apply rust proofer on the wheel arch each year to stop it rusting. Posts like this is what makes this forum great.
