Are Led Number Plate Lights Road Legal? Will It Pass Mot?

just wondering if LED white lights are legal for rear numberplate lights?? i know new top end cars like Audi and mercedes have them but newer cars dont have mot for first few years, so a bit worried bcos on MOT it says it should'nt be a white light at the back?? could anyone tell me or correct me if im wrong thanks.

Yes they are legal as the plate lights by design don't shine directly to the rear.

I use LED plate lights and never have any dramas with MOT's.

As above mate,,, not going to be a problem. They will light the plate better if anything, and the law isn't gonna complain about that lol.

I'm job and I have never pulled someone for LED plate lights.

Chavvy illuminated washer nozzles? That's another stoty altogether.

Haha that and neon under lights,,, if I was fuzz I'd lock the up for public indecency lol.

The bulbs will the festoon type.

On the Fiesta they are bayonett type fitting. (2013)

On the 2003 Fiesta it's definitely a festoon.
