jbaker
Hello I had two three-button non-flipout car keys for my 2006 Mondeo, but my son has misplaced (probably binned :() one of them. I've spoken to Ford who want an incredible £180 for a replacement key. Can anyone tell me if there's a cheaper option, such as obtaining a blank key from eBay and programming it so it will switch off the immobiliser etc? Thanks John
Stoney871
eBay is your friend. Buy a matching new key and then sniff out some quotes from auto locksmiths. They will cut and programme for you and probably cheaper than Ford. You should be able to save £60 - £80 on dealer prices.
