I've got a 53 plate focus 1.6 Ghia,i have difficulty engaging gear when the car is cold,especially 1st and reverse.I've recently had a new clutch fitted,any suggestions ? artscot79 Posted September 9, 2013 Share Posted September 9, 2013 in cold weather the mk1 did this sometimes its due to new gearbox oil which is quite thick when cold it should engage easily after a few gearchanges if in doubt take it back and explain that the clutch fluid may need to be rebled Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Yes,after about 2 weeks same thing was happening,so i took it back and they bled the clutch.All was good now it's starting again,another 2 weeks.
