Just bought a 1994 2.9 Granada Scorpio which when u first start up struggles to go into reverse but when warm or after running its fine, This is an automatic gearbox. Any Ideas or will i just put up with it as the guy i bought it off said it has done this for the last 4 years. Car done 85000miles

Perhaps like the transmission fluid needs changing.

Go to a 3rd party garage who specialise in it (miles cheaper).. they will suck out the old and add some fresh oil.

Might work. But at least you know it is good for the transmission if you did have it replaced.
