Lenny
Must be thinking of eye lol. Keep it up lenny the finishing line is in sight :) Thanks mate, yeah Japanese eyes Finishing line for the body work is in sight but I'm having too much fun to call it a day just yet bro. Looking forward to having it all fitted and sprayed even i cant imagine how its gonna look but i know its gonna be sweet. Although I'm very greatful to have come this far, passing portlaoise prison today with not one visitor visible outside i spared a thought for those stuck on the inside although classed as criminals, for whatever reason many I'm sure some with loving family yet not a sole visible on the streets surrounding on this wet cold Sunday, I passed in the car with my family on route to collect car parts for a project, very different reality's happening on either side of the multiple reinforced concrete walls, sad empty feeling fell upon me while passing there has stuck with me since probably because I've heard some very dark stories about that place in recent months, a work mate has a friend whom is an officer inside. I agree many deserve to be there but i spare a thought for the few which society has failed and perhaps never had a chance in life. But anyways, After seeing James May there on BBC two in the Catheram R500 missing the Levin already the sound

Lenny
Minus diesel & my patience to drive halfway around the country!!!I drove, Was your choice to accompany the journey which as always entailed me stopping off at a fuel station, taking out my wallet and paying for diesel. I apologise for wasting your patience while i paid for fuel that was put in to your car while you painstakingly had to sit in the passenger seat and look out the window, How awful

I apologise for wasting your patience while i paid for fuel that was put in to your car while you painstakingly had to sit in the passenger seat and look out the window, How awful hahahahahaha excellent. Those lights look much better, the lines across the originals looked terrible! How can that spider be so inconsiderate as to crawl into full view then die there making it impossible to get out? The lack of consideration given really is appauling. I had a daddy long legs in the centre brake light on my first car and then not too long ago a fly in the offside brake light of my last car. Out of all the places they could go, why does it have to be somewhere with a clear cover? It's almost like they're attracted to the light or something . Either take it out through the bulb hole or drive round some corners quick enough to shift it to the edge out of sight. I know which I'd try first...

Thanks Martin The lights with the lines are premium spec in the AE101 and AE111 world but i favour personal taste over bhp status. I've advertised the old units aswell as all spare parts on local online selling sites, some parts are gathering interest so hopefully earnings will be soon reinvested back in to the build aswell as clearing some attic space, The spider is really bugging me get it..... Perhaps just like me: he found the tail light units on....The Web:mellow: Thought he'd get in there for a buzz Ok Ok ill stop ^_^ The lens that it is inside is like a double glazed window, the bulb openings done lead in to that area, It seems sealed like a cavity, Would be a good excuse if stopped for slipping the rear out lol was trying to shift the dead spider from the corner of my tail light officer, Big enough spider too, i don't like em much
Jake90087
Lenny before you do condemn the Head Gasket it'd be best to get a tester off if eBay to see if there's contamination of the coolant and compression test the cylinders just to be sure Something like this: http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/290937720560?nav=SEARCH A garage can do the tests for you too of course. As for a new HG, it depends what caused the failure and if any things warped... But whatever you think add 20% just to be safe :) Sent from my iPhone 5 using Ford OC mobile app

But whatever you think add 20% just to be safe :) Hi Jake,Thanks for the link mate but that kit is quite expensive, think ill just pay the garage to check it out would be much the same price without postage, The red coolant I've put in last January has gotten a bit dark but its still red in the resivour bottle. I used holts radiator flush when changing the coolant suppose i shouldnt have.. Well its good stuff almost too good lol ate through the water pump on my first car a 1.3 Toyota starlet, think it may have contributed to the issue here too. I'm in mechanics hands when it comes to timing belt fitting and head gasket etc. All i can do is pay the money as i wouldn't take on the jobs myself. Does the head gasket seal ever just break? Or Will it be somthing has broken ?
Jake90087
Oh I agree totally and a garage will be able to compression test it too for about that price. Usually with a head gasket failure the car will overheat too as it forces the water away from the engine. Head gaskets can just fail if there's a problem with the metal like an imperfection. I believe there is gasket sealant too but don't quote me on it... Sent from my iPhone 5 using Ford OC mobile app
georgen
hold up soldier, their is some basic tests first before splashing money about. 1. are you loosing coolant 2 if you run car without coolant cap on does water jump out 3 can you see any oil residue in your water, you now what i mean, the pretty colours lol 4 can you smell petrol or oil if you sniff in the coolant tank 5 when at running temperature are you hoses rock hard the reason i am asking this Lenny is your car has been standing a while and dampness builds up, its not unusual to see some white crap on cars that do short journeys all the time. the white as you know is water emulsifying the oil so main question is are you loosing water. if not clean crap out of cap and run and monitor, if you are loosing coolant then it heightens your chances of it being the head gasket. and yes they can just go. now answer my questions please ;)
