Well I did post the other day looking for advice on an exhaust system but didn't get any reply.

But anyway tomorrow my car is going in for a bigger down pipe with sports cat and straight through to the rear with a twin tail pipe.

I will get photos and videos up asap :). Has anyone done this yet? If so does it sound good?

Well, it depends - is your "zetec-s" a petrol, diesel, Focus, Fiesta?

No worries -

It should sound a lot sportier, louder and with a deeper exhaust note

The turbo should spin up a bit quicker with the reduction of back-pressure post- turbine - reducing the lag and making the throttle response sharper, and potentially increase the top-end power/ raising the peak power revs by improving the gas-flow

Let us know the results

Are you planning a remap? - it would be nice to see dyno printouts

Good good cant wait for my drive home. Yes iam planning on a remap hopefully the week after next along with the pumaspeed air filter. Iam in talks with a few companies atm as I would like my end result to be about 160 bhp and 210lb/fb so iam seeing what they can do for me and how mich it would cost. Are those figures realistic enough?

A remap alone should give about 145hp/ 227nm, (give or take) its difficult so say how much the exhaust will add but you may see an additional 8-10Hp, so we are not far off the 160Hp

You should see a bit more than the 227Nm,(torque with a map only and no other mods) but thats 167 ft lbs - the stock 125ps 1.0L ecoboost is 200Nm/147ftlbs so that would still be a significant increase , a Fiesta ST produces 187ft-lbs (254Nm) of torque - it would not be far behind that

Rolling roads/ dynos can vary in results but it would still be good to see an actual printout of what you achieve - there will be a lot of interest in this

Puma-speed don't claim any power increases on the intake/ filter/ pipe etc and they have supply problems - i asked a puma-speed representative if they could produce any dyno printouts etc but i have had no reply

Mountune are concentrating on the Focus and Fiesta ST for now

Superchips (bluefin) produce a remap for the 1.6L Fiesta ST and for the Focus 1.0L 125 ecoboost but strangely, none for the Fiesta 1.0L 125 ecoboost (even though its same engine as the Focus) ,

Foca the focus is a six speed 1.0, this is probably why the remaps not suitable yet.

Collins performance have been using my car as a tester and so far I've had a cat back mongoose exhaust fitted and a remap. I've picked her up this afternoon and wow, what a difference! The torque just keeps pulling!

She's now producing 140ps at the wheel and a load more torque (and for a lot longer) Collins reckon when they get me back next week for the Finsport induction kit it'll be nudging 150. They also want my car for the development of an auto specialists uprated intercooler.

Total cost so far £0 :D

Collins are looking for someone with a 100ps version for remaps, FOC so anyone in the Cheshire/North West after a free remap let me know!

I'll try and post up the dyno screenshot soon.

Remap Graph

Nice graph- fills in the midrange flatspot nicely and good torque from 2k, wide spread of rising power from 2k to 6k with noflat spots, glitches or plateos -

but it says "132.9" is that Hp?(fly or wheel HP - it says Flywheel Power as the title of the graph but Engpwr on the graph) that would make 134.7PS

HP to PS converter -

I was told 137ps at the wheels, before the re-addition of the exhaust and probably just over 140 once the exhaust had been refitted.
