i have a fiesta st 2.0 55 plate and there's a squeek from the offside rear of the car, it sounds like a suspension mount, i took the wheel and inner arch off to take a better look but couldnt find anything obvious.

has anyone had a similar problem and knows how to correct it

many thanks

Funny u should say that, had a siezed bearing, brakes stripped down at the back and I experienced a squeek but only during braking.

Unfortunatly cannot investigate any further as px car.

it makes the noise all the time especially when going over speed humps so i dont think its the brakes or bearings they both look and feel fine which makes me think its a suspension problem

I wonder why mine was still doing it during braking but no other time even though the brakes had been inspected and cleaned up by a technician and the fact that the bearing had been changed - oh well not my worry now but still frustrating.

Have a look at the fuel filler neck mounting point under the arch- body...also hanbrake cable hangers at the rear can sqeek.
