Maybe he was needing to replace the manifold and he heard that if you heated it, it would be easier to undo the bolts?!!!  :ph34r:  :rolleyes:  :)  :)  :)

Sadly Foca you banged the nail on the head as far as I know. His plan was to make it white hot, thats why half the folks started to get outa the scene before they knew what was going to go!

 

Clive, no doubt there whatsoever!

 

Kev, sadly I don't think he had enough sense to put the idea that it gets hot, the heat will spread! let alone that heat helps to undo the bolts.
