Love the work you've done on this. Takes real commitment and drive to even attempt to restore an old timer like this back to such good condition! 

 

Wish I had the practical know how to do the same with my mk5 ZS!

Thanks but to be fair it was in very good condition to begin with, just needed a bit of a lift.

Yep the mk5 is now in daily use (took a while to get the MOT) and the mk3 hasn't seen the light of day for over two months.
