ForTim
I have one faulty parking sensor (not clicking, confirmed by switching with the good one), factory fitted, marked as "2W93 15K859" and "CAW" and "602841". When I search http://www.ebay.co.uk/ for that PART NUMBER, it offers, for example http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JAGUAR-X-TYPE-2008-REAR-PARKING-SENSOR-2W93-15K859-DAW-ANGLED-PLUG-NON-C-CODED-/300899943397?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item460f08c3e5 So, it's marked as Jaguar. When I search http://www.ebay.co.uk/ for "FORD FOCUS PARKING SENSOR" I get for example http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-FORD-MONDEO-KUGA-FOCUS-C-MAX-PARK-AID-PARKING-SENSOR-/330939049414?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item4d0d8125c6 It says "This is brand new and fits the Ford Mondeo (MK1,2,3,4), Focus, Kuga, C-Max models". Can it be they're all the same? There's also http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-FIESTA-FOCUS-MONDEO-B-MAX-C-MAX-S-MAX-BRAND-NEW-PARKING-SENSOR-1765253-/281234168909?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item417adcdc4d#vi-ilComp which says "FORD FIESTA FOCUS MONDEO B MAX C MAX S MAX BRAND NEW PARKING SENSOR 1765253". Again, says it fits all, is it possible? When I search internet there are many "15K859" parking sensors, but the first number is mostly different. There is also http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-FOCUS-MONDEO-C-MAX-PDC-REVERSING-PARKING-SENSOR-NEW-/221329355898?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item338841f47a which is different color from mine (mine is black) but quotes the same part number. Mr Singh
why dont you go to ford who will confirm what sensor(s) you have fitted?
ForTim
Original sensor in Ford costs 70+ euros, which is not acceptable. I don't understand why some local company doesn't order replacement parts which I see are available on Alibaba, but they don't. Since the whole parking sensors replacement kit costs 20-25 euros, it'd be more wise to replace all.. It would be really nice to connect it somehow to Denso display instead of using separate LED digital display.
mintalkin
all the sensors ford use are made by xvision so i would presume they are the same.
jeebowhite
Best bet is to look around your local scrappies, most of the fords around that age will probably use the same sensor and connection, so a removal of a few from a broken ford could be a good and cheap way to replace the faulty one. mintalkin
just a bit of wrong wording, the sensors you are after are all xvision angled sensors use by ford and jag, i think the factor fit are valio
ForTim
Thank you, I couldn't find this on local scrappies and I was about to order this from e-bay, when it started to work again yesterday. I wouldn't be surprised if it's just temporary.
jeebowhite
might be worth just resecuring the connections, also swap the sensors around to see if the fault stays with the sensor, or stays with the port on the control unit.
ForTim
The first thing I did was switching the suspect with the good one, and again the same sensor didn't work in another position (so, it would mean it's not related to the control unit?). I don't know how to resecure the connections, the sensor is just click and go.
jeebowhite
In that case if it followed the sensor, then its definately the sensor thats the issue, Continue looking around the scrappies, there has to be one some where with a focus with sensors! ForTim
I remembered to update this: The good news is that I bought http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-FOCUS-HATCHBACK-2003-2006-NEW-PDC-PARKING-SENSOR-FRONT-OR-REAR-3-PIN-/251417856442? and it worked for a few weeks. The bad news is that parking system doesn't work again, it's another sensor now.
