njosefx
Hi guys! Want to do a few mods to my car but I'm worried on voiding my warranty so I would really appreciate if you guys would tell me which mods do and do not void the warranty 1. Tinted Rear Windows 2. Spray paint rims Black 3. Lowering springs 4. Remap 5. Wrapping the roof and side mirrors matt black I've been previously told that anything that's reversible can be done, so I'm thinking all of them can be reversed back to standard? Many thanks guys! chrispage1
You will have to have a look at your warranty really but I know that for lowering springs, you can get Eibach ones which are covered under the warranty - you can also get them installed by ford and this will give you a 3.5mm lower (2.5 if you have the ZS because its already lowered more than stock). Remapping your car will most definitely void the warranty instantly. The rest of the changes I am not sure about as they are only aesthetics so I can't imagine them ruining your warranty but then again they might do anything they can to try and get out of paying out. Hope this helps!
iNath
Anything you do to the car which Ford can prove caused the fault will void the warranty of that part. So lowering springs - if they broke anything to do with suspension you're not covered Remap - anything to do with powertrain (the bit that make the car move) gone Painting/wrapping - paint warranty probably void on those parts.
