Fiesta/focus Mpg Ranges

I have a 56 plate Fiesta Freedom 1.25 with an average mpg of 29.5. I drive on normal roads in and around town and traffic, I change gears at 2500 rpm and drive at the speed limit, Max speed on roads 55 mph. Just wondering what others are getting out of their Fords and any tips as I think I could do better. :-D

each car is different, but to be honest, if you wanted more from your motor you could simply reset it. If you have the radio code, you can just disconnect the battery for a half hour or so, then when you start driving, drive as you normally would. It then optimises for your driving style and can give you a better return!

If you do this after a good service, you get better results still!

I reset the ECU unit today, forgot to mention that I have a black box installed for insurance purposes, that died but should be back up again now. MPG so far with 14 miles is 31.5, hope it stays above 29.5

I've got a 1.6 diesel c-max I'm averaging between 57-62 in rush hour traffic I love it. People say my right foot is as light as a feather and that's mixed roads aswell doing 15 miles each way to work daily.

Wondering if changing to a branded fuel instead of supermarket, been putting Asda fuel in, although it should make no difference at all, I drive with at most 1/2 a tank. Would love to finD out from another fiesta owner as even my friend who drives a 4WD camper van admits that's low for a 1.2
