Hi all.

Posting on behalf of my old man.

He bought a Mondeo Titanium

X 60 plate 1st December. Loves the car.

But randomly his power fold mirrors have stopped working when he locks/unlocks the car. They just don't move .

Any ideas what it could be?

Probably the relay, if it's both sides that fail at the same time. Not sure where it is on that car (it's behind the glovebox on a Mk3, if that helps any).

I had that problem on my 59 plate titanium x for me luckily it was just the fob battery try changing the fob battery if that fails disconnect you battery for a few minutes these are the usual cures for the mk4 power fold mirrors

Turns out it was the battery.

The battery had a bad cell. And the car was shutting things down.

Radio only lasted 10 mins instead of an hour. Mirrors stopped folding in.

Replaced the battery and they worked. Problem he has now his log book has no radio code in it. So he can't use the radio.

How would he go about getting his stereo to work?

I thaught they stopped putting radio codes in by 60 plate I know they did on the fiesta you can take the car to ford they remove and plug into the radio and retrieve the key code for you

Is it making any noise? Like it’s trying? Do other aspects of mirror work eg adjustment?
