thinking of getting a puma

hey, im thinking about buying myself a wee puma but would like to know if there is anything i should be looking out for. any help would be great thanks. :)

Hi

Things that I can think of are.-

Rust in the rear arches,

When the cambelt is next due,

Check the rear top shock mounts, As when they go your car will sound like a tin can.

suspension Bushes.

The Puma is a good car. The bodywork tends to fail before the engine does.

As above ,but go for the Yamaha built engine the 1.7,free running,revs out nice,oil always stays nice n clean,if you can push for it go for the racing 1.7,my wife drives one about town and loves it.

The 1.7 is a quick car. The racing Pumas are gorgeous but they do need more serving and a good one will set you back £6-7k Were a good 1.7l £4k or £5 for a special edition.
