It's literally an earth eyelet under a 10 mm nut on the negative terminal , check it's tight and clean.

The fact it seemed ok when you changed the battery then deteriorated suggests this area.

Ok checked the small earth lead, it seems to be on there tightly, and from what I can see the cable is in good condition
