Alarm Service Required Warning

Hi everytime I switch my ignition on on my 2008 ford galaxy ghia 2.0 tdci. It come up with the warning alarm service required. I have see several posts about it inc one that says to replace the batteries in the alarm module in the inner wing on NSF. Does anyone no if this is correct and if so wot size batteries is it ??? Or if it is something else even ?

Not something I have seen too much of, but it could be as simple as a software update to resolve?
