More Key Fob!!

Hi, new to this and in need of help. I can see there's been quite a few posts on the key fob, immobiliser issue and it's all a bit confusing. I'll try and explain my issue quickly and as simple as I can.

I have a 54 plate cmax 1.6 diesel.

I have 1 fob key and 1 original key(with no fob or immobiliser)

Two weeks ago I thought the battery went. I replaced this and for only about 2 days it was working. Surely the battery should last longer than two days???

I didn't do the re programming thing cuz it just worked without doing it. Should I do it?

I don't want to go to ford cuz they'll just want my wallet empty, and I don't want to buy a new fob off eBay if it'll just do the same. Also I wondered if I could swap it for the flip key fob? Could this be possible?

Any ideas on what to do?

Thanks

Yes, taken it apart and back together a few times. Someone's told me it could of been a crappy battery. It's not a decent one, some Japanese make. Do u think it could be that?

If it worked ok to start then just stoped it could be a faulty batt. Best thing is to try another batt if you buy a cheap 1 just to check its not the key fob.
