loulou123
Hi there I have a 2011 fiesta, unfortunately the stereo overheats on a long car journey (a couple of hours) the cd gets so hot you can't touch it. It has been in a ford dealership and it turns out the heating unit for the car is under the stereo (design fault) so to fix it the dashboard needs to come out and the heater re-aligned!!!!! The garage are now ignoring my phone calls as they were escaliting it, but unlikely they will fix it as its a whole days labour. has anyone else had this problem- i've been looking online and can't see anything. I really don't feel safe driving around with this issue- despite ford saying its not a fire hazzard! thanks :)

My iPod had died on a long journey out a cd in a had it on for a while then had an error message come up with the CD player overheating and it wouldn't play anything for a while untill it cooled down Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC

loulou123
Thanks for your replies, I have phoned ford today to escalate it. Having been told its a common design fault i'm surprised there isn't more people with the issue.
