Can someone explain to me injectors in child term haha

Basically I think my injectors have gone what does that mean?

Can I buy a set off of eBay and put straight in?

If they need recoding can a normal garage do this

Would it be cheaper sending mine off or getting from eBay

I've also read on here that tddi injectors do not need to be coded is that correct

If so what sort of injectors on eBay do I need to look for and does that mean as soon as they turn up they can be put in?

How so?

Basically, injectors on the MK3 mondeo for a TDCI are Delphi model injectors, they run on the common rail, the fuel goes through and out to the chamber, but they are prone to weakness and can start spitting fuel out the top on a 2.0 TDCI and so they need replacing later in life.

The TDDI use Bosch injectors, the fuel goes straight from the filter to the injector without the common rail. Unfortunately the two dont appear to be capable of crossing paths, so you would ordinarily have to replace Delphi with Delphi, not Bosch or others.

It would be good to know who in kent wrote your car off and why? I can't see what could be so wrong with it?

It's a garage I usually use my car is a 2001 mondeo

It come up with about 15 codes from

Injectors to fuel pump to everything else he said it's not worth my money

Is there anything worth taking out of the car to sell on eBay

I would say you could clear the error codes down and see what comes back, it might be a simple fix, but the other error codes are clouding judgement?Al

to be honest though, selling the car for spares and repairs will get you a few quid! depending how things go, I might well find myself buying into a mondeo and might need some spares :p

Im waiting for the insurance farce to sort out with my car, so I might be looking to buy a few bits if you do still have it at that time, but I am estimating several weeks!
