If you buy lowering springs do you need to buy new shocks as well? Could anyone with a fiesta zetec s mk7 tell me what's a good amount to lower it by?

No you do not need to buy new shocks.

I have a focus and have lowered it just by springs and kept stock shocks.

However I will be soon buying a whole new complete coil over set up as the ride is not to my taste.

All depends on your preferences and budget to be honest.

Might be worth doing a little vote to see what others recommend.

I've got a Mk7 Titanium and I've just bought Eibach 40mm lowering springs. ( Im not 100% sure but I've heard the Titanuim sits 10mm higher than other models)

They've not actually arrived yet but I'll be uploading pics when there on :)

To be honest with you I have no experience with coil overs.

I have heard of someone who had ap adjustable coil overs and 1 of them had seized/cross threaded.

I'm sure if you check reviews on them you should get a rough idea of which is best.

I would say 35/40mm drop is a safe drop.
