Leyland49er
Hi there I don't know a great deal about common rail Diesel engines as fitted in my 1.6 zetec s fiesta. However after several breakdown and recovery sessions. It went into a diesel specialist who says he has changed the fuel pressure switch and wiring plug. Now Haynes say you can't do that and must change the whole rail, which after inspection hasn't been disturbed. Have I paid for something that hasn't been done and been ripped off? Leyland49er
Thanks Dan62 that's what I suspected. I checked the switch at the end of the rail and it doesn't look new. Although I've been charged for it. Hmmm. However the wiring plug may have been changed. Do you happen to know if this is available as a part? And how often they give trouble. I've run the car 30 miles or so tonight and it seems to be ok now. So I'm mystified what they did. Sent from my iPad using Ford OC
