Gmorgan
Hi everyone I'm new to the site! I've got a fiesta Zetec S TDCI mk6.5 2008. I've owned it for just over 2 years and never had any problems with it! Recently though the turbo has been playing up. When I start the car up it takes a good 5-10 for the turbo to kick in, it stays on then until you turn the car off then when you start the engine again it does exactly the same process! Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Thanks, Gareth.

DieselPig
How many miles has the car done and what service history do you have?
Gmorgan
Around 70,000 miles and have it serviced usually every 6 months?
DieselPig
Could be the turbo oil feed pipe has blocked and the turbo bearing has failed or the EGR valve is blocked. If your handy with some spanners take the turbo pipework off and check the bearing and look at the state of the EGR valve.
