FordFan1
Hi All I was wondering what kind of fault my car has. When travelling the car always drift/pulls across to the right manly when gear changing and driving faster than 25 mph. It had to new front tyres and wheel alignment at the beginning of February. But over past 1 - 2 weeks it keeps moving across to the right. It has been suggested the alignment may be off but I think it could be worse. The car is due for MOT in a month. Any ideas of what this may be.
delboy
sounds like lower suspension arm (wishbone). i would also check the rear bushes as they can cause steering probs. open boot hold side of car and push and pull, any movement theyr shot, they are located just infront the rear wheel. piccy of one with suspension un bolted https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=ka+rear+suspension+bushes&client=firefox-a&hs=0dm&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&channel=sb&tbm=isch&imgil=RTkkte6dSA_GHM%253A%253Bhttps%253A%252F%252Fencrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com%252Fimages%253Fq%253Dtbn%253AANd9GcQNgtovY4czjcj0R8FRVcjS8xX6Rt_N8mXAl8ubQX8gd_pcw9GvjQ%253B512%253B384%253BPMJXDD5k22WPzM%253Bhttp%25253A%25252F%25252Fwww.fk-oc.com%25252Fe107_plugins%25252Fforum%25252Fforum_viewtopic.php%25253F2415&source=iu&usg=___jXaLtjggthVJ9z9JkBHTJ2JYEg%3D&sa=X&ei=0NhEU9m4JYWQhQeztYCwCQ&ved=0CHMQ9QEwBw#facrc=_&imgrc=RTkkte6dSA_GHM%253A%3BPMJXDD5k22WPzM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fi268.photobucket.com%252Falbums%252Fjj36%252Fklausmaster%252FRear%252520Bushes%252FDSC00619.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.fk-oc.com%252Fe107_plugins%252Fforum%252Fforum_viewtopic.php%253F2415%3B512%3B384
FordFan1
I will have a look at this later. Any idea as to the kind of cost a garage may to charge to supply and fit wishbone ans rear bushes.
delboy
for a pattern wishbone about £35.00 for the part & about an hours labour ontop if genuine for part about £95.00 plus labour. as for the rear bushes about £30.. a pair from fords or a little cheaper for pattern and about an hour half labour i recon to do the bushes as they are done it pairs from memory. have the wishbone done & see if that solves the problem first. most garages will tell you if one needs replacing
