stef123
Well there have been a number of these spotted in my area recently.. Police Cardboard Constables! So far I haven't seen any with body parts drawn on them but rumour has it that one was disappearing in the back of a van last night. I might need to get the paint marker out What will they think of next.
Stoney871
Did they licence the use of my likeness ;). We have real Coppers here :d, apart from the flamin' PCSO's anyway.
stef123
The bit is Clive they have put them up in some of the worst areas. They will go back in a few hours and it might still be there in some form if they are lucky. I'm still absolutely creased by it. This must be the result of budget cuts
Stoney871
The usual trick is old patrol cars in a lay-by but that mostly stopped as people were nicking them or stripping bits off them. Anyhow, It's not the coppers you see that you should be concerned with, it's the ones you don't see (me) that catch more crooks :D

I know your new motor now Clive so I will be sure to look out for it when I'm down your way If someone were to draw a certain body part on this cardboard constable.. Would they get done with assaulting a police officer?
FOCA
Apparently technology has advanced so far now that they can make the cardboard constables with the same IQ as the real ones! ha ha in the 'states they found they worked just as well as the real thing for getting drivers to slow down (seriously)
Jeff4155
Ha ha ha, thats great, I wonder how many people they catch out with that, this side of the pond they wear camo clothes and hide in bushes, those ones you don't want catching you. stef123
Lmao Well from what I have heard, people are slowing down but surely that will only work once? It's not hard to see it's flat and made of cardboard! Unless the guy just likes Ryvitas!
Nighthawk
I think its the new training regime they use now. They've got to keep slim so if they stand side on, they can't be spotted, a bit like Time Crisis lol Sent from my HUAWEI Ascend P2 using Ford OC mobile app

jeebowhite
I have seen a couple of these actually! They are very good deterrants as they cause you to drop a brick outa your rear end, and that is, until you get to it and see its a lump of paper and then you want to spontaneously combust it! Philf1
Still have them in Poundland. Do folks really steal from there? Why? It's a pound just buy it and nick something from M&S (other stores are available)
