GrumpyTrucker
Really happy with it so far. Makes a big change from the Edge I had before. Huge increase in comfort. I said earlier in this thread I think that I was in two minds between Deep Impact and Candy Blue but went for Deep Impact. It's taking some effort to get used to the keyless system I got. Both the wife and I have tried to turn the key in the ignition to turn the engine off. Sent from my iPad using Ford OC
DunkPoole
I have keyless entry start/stop button too. Be careful if you keep your key close to where you park. I park my car in the drive at the side of the house the other side of the outside wall and always keep my keys on a hook in the hall on that outside wall. The car is parked within 3 to 4 feet of the key and the signal manages to penetrate the cavity wall and about 3 feet of air and allow me to unlock the car (although not the boot strangely) with the key on the hook indoors. I will have to get in the habit of keeping the keys elsewhere ! I had a Suzuki Swift with keyless entry and start a few years back and that had a more limited range for the key. I always have a habit of checking and double checking to see if my car is locked and the boot with the fiesta is a real pain with keyless as you can never be sure thats locked as the release works if the key is in range.
GrumpyTrucker
Cheers Duncan. That's something I was a little concerned about. 5ft I think is the area for these things. Mine is similarly parked alongside the house with the keys effectively just the other side of the wall. Due to narrow drives, the car is currently further back than usual and it seems to be fine. I'll test it properly when I can get further up the drive without knocking the door! Sent from my iPad using Ford OC
GrumpyTrucker
Best ones I can manage right now between downpours Already rated "Very Good: Eco Champion" but it helps not having taken it on motorways yet, and still only on about 65 miles!! :D :D

GrumpyTrucker
Yeah, I like 'em. I've nothing really against the standard wheels except that I'm too lazy to keep cleaning between 16 spokes :) Sent from my iPad using Ford OC

GrumpyTrucker
I know. But the standard wheels are 15 spoke, 16's. Mistyped originally. Said 16 spoke. And I'm too lazy to clean between all those spokes ;) Sent from my iPad using Ford OC
Nathan54771
Hahaa yehh got does get annoying cleaning them :( get yourself a alloy wheel brush for a couple of quid to assist ;)

I find the wheels easy to keep clean but those little "v" cut outs are a pig to get right down to the bottom of the slot.
GrumpyTrucker
To be honest, after posting about being too lazy to clean between 15 spokes I realised that those little V's could be an issue. Was kinda hoping no one else would notice :) Sent from my iPad using Ford OC

Willy
Get some wax on them. That will help to keep them clean
MattDRX
Go to halfrauds and they have this little triangular yellow sponge thing on a stick. It's about £4 and the best thing I've used for cleaning awkward wheels and gaps. It's more like a pads than a sponge and just rinses clean. Had it for 2 years now and still going strong. GrumpyTrucker
Probably a daft question - and with the amount of people on here who debadge I expect a pointless one - but I was wondering what badges people who got Titaniums have been getting on their cars? I ask because mine came with just the Fiesta logo badge and that was it. Thought there'd be a Titanium one on there. I keep seeing them on the road with BOTH Titanium and TDCi badges. So, are these badges specific to certain dealers? Do some have them fitted and others not? Are the robots in Cologne playing games and going "eeny meeny" to see which cars get them and which don't? I can see it being a boring job for them and they have to do something to brighten up their days I guess. It's not a big issue by any means but it has puzzled me a little. And the way my head works it'll keep me awake for weeks :D :D
Willy
Normally only a Fiesta badge only but also can be an econetic or ecoboost badge. Most people on the forum will tell you to de badge but it's a personal preference. I personally like a few badges.
GrumpyTrucker
Been meaning to ask - your reg doesn't indicate your drink preference by any chance? So, most Titanium badges are probably after market then? I can't understand debadging. I keep seeing BMW 1 Series cars with nothing there to indicate model or anything. They look like they've had a tailgate put on at a scrappies :)
Willy
Ha ha no Ian I don't drink. It wasn't till I got the plate that I realised it meant that. It's the initials of me, my daughter and the Mrs. You can by the badges from ford if you like.
GrumpyTrucker
Like I said, it's nothing major. Just thought I'd been short changed. As usual. Probably won't bother. I'd only put it on squint anyway :D
