Has anyone had their illuminated Scuff plates fail on the ST, as in half or the whole plate doesn't illuminate?

Not heard of any issues myself, probably people trying to mess with it and change light colors etc and failing knowing Ford " Enthusiasts" either that or they got wet somehow.

Had mine for about a month and no issues so far, so not sure why they have had trouble. Although I have seen a few cars not ST's with LED DRL'S failed on one side which isn't good considering they where all on a 14 plate.

I think I have seen 4 up to now on my travels. ( not the same cars before you ask :p I'm not that stupid )

Apparently when they were introduced there was a batch that had problems. Ford rectified them without problem apparently. I've not heard of anyone suffering with the same defect for a while now. Mine are still fine after 6 months of ownership.

Yes I would imagine they will know about the issue of people else where have the defect and repair under warranty.

My mate's had a few problems with his.. First the light above the glovebox went, shortly after he managed to fix it with a battery disconnect, both the scuffplates went.. his is a 13 plate..

One of mine went and was replaced under warranty. Such a common fault, no end of people with the same problem on STOC.

The drivers side ST sill light has gone after owning the car just over 18 mths. Is this likely to be covered under a warranty i bought with the car please?

You'll have to read the T&C of the warranty you bought. To be honest, it's unlikely as used car warranties usually just cover big stuff, like engine and drivetrain components. 'fluffy' stuff like fancy LED adornments are usually not covered...

Sons 14 plate has half stopped working on the drivers side a week ago. 🤔

Are they glued on the sill or held down with clips of somesort ?
