Mondeo Diesel Filling Issue

Hi All,

It is with great disbelief I am starting this discussion, I think I need some thoughts on how to fill diesel in my Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDCI?

The issue I am facing is that while filling the nozzle keeps cutting and it take ages to fill even 15 litres. This is the first time I am using caples technology.

Please if anyone have faced the same issue?? or have same car can let me know where am I going wrong???

When using cap less technology its all about pushing it right in so the nozzle opens the flap inside the neck of the filler pipe. Then leave it there don't bring it up the pipe. At the end when full first click wait 10sec then full in until 2nd click then its full. I've never had problem putting diesel in. Always full tanks too

Push the nozzle in and then let it rest naturally, don't hold the nozzle at a forced angle.

Want to tell your teenagers about s*x education?

Just let them fill your ford with fuel,

Push it in naturally,

Fall out itself

I'm having the same problem. It cuts out as if full. Managed to get a whole 5ltrs in tonight. It's driving me to despair. Any help appreciated.

It's all down to the angle of the nozzle after insertion.

. Never done anything different, but it's ok now. Cheers.

Some pumps seem to have more sensitive backflow sensors than others.

I don't have easyfuel on my car but find Sainsburys 'pay at pump' pumps are very difficult to fill with.
