eliaskok
I wonder if is a myth that front driver side brakes wear a bit faster than the front passenger side? I've read on some other forums but also after some brake changes i've done to different cars i've seen that this is kinda true Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC mobile app

Lenny
So is not a myth for you then Lenny. Did you ever notice it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk no cant say I've noticed personally but it makes scientific sense to me and I've saw the difference in lowering springs see video below regarding springs being lower on drivers side

Am curious though about the brakes if anyone has ever seen this or not Sent from my iPad using Ford OC mobile app
jeebowhite
Certainly makes sense, although I think its a myth in my case. I barely weigh anything so I cant add that much more to my brakes :p

jeebowhite
Cant say I have, thankfully all my cars have had good brakes, but last time I replaced any was on the Focus about three years and three cars ago :p to be honest though, there was barely any difference, but then again, that likely does come down to my zero gravity weight :p

SandyCat
I cannot see how there could be more brake pressure on one side than the other and still brake straight. The braking system would not allow it. I can understand suspension sag after a few years of very uneven load distribution but I don't buy unequal brake forces at all. I can understand more tyre wear on the n/s/f if you live where there are lots of traffic islands.

MattDRX
ESP just cuts power, hence why the revs flap all over the place when it's on.
eliaskok
ESP just cuts power, hence why the revs flap all over the place when it's on. When ESP or ESC detects loss of steering wheel, it automatically applies breaks to help the driver. Lenny
ESP is nothing to do with brakes, it's ABS that applies to it a wheels that sticks / skids. ABS only comes in to play when the driver applies the brakes, ESP cuts in to control the speed of each wheel independent of the drivers actions, ESP just cuts power, hence why the revs flap all over the place when it's on.see video below on ESP particurally the part 01:25 - 01:35 where the narrator says "ESP Independantly uses the brakes"
