Hi Folks

I'm a nubee so please bare with me.

I have a Focus Zetec 2008 TDCi, I have had a problem with my radio reception being a bit crap so I sourced a new one as one of the forums said a lot of the ford stereo's had issues with the frequency chip but the new one sucks as well, so I took some more advice and made sure there was a decent earth contact on the Ariel and guess what still crap so I have resigned myself to listening to discs etc.

The thing that is bugging me now is since I messed with the ariel base having to remove interior light for access my light now wont turn off when I start the engine I can live with the crap radio but the light is messing with my OCD please help.

Is it as simple as you have left it on the permenantly lit stage? you have three positions in the switch - 1 for off, one for "with doors" and the other "always on".

I had this issue in my car on the way home tonight. Seems as I was moving stuff from the boot into the back seat I clipped it, the switch appears to have gotten stuck between the doors only and always on, so I had to keep flicking to off, then doors, kept closing the door and locking, after a few ocassions I seem to have released the switch and its started to behave.
