Classic 1986 Ford Capri restored Power Steering For Sale

For sale is my 1986 Ford Capri 2.0l

I have owned this car for about 6 months and have had nothing but fun in it!

2.0l pinto engine, has just had a new custom twin exhaust (cost me over £700 to have done!) but it does rattle a little, i think the brackets need tightening up, i just now don't have anywhere to do the work. i have just fitted new wheel bearings,

great car, real eye catcher and head turner!

I' ll list some of the things that have been done over the last couple of years by the previous owner

Engine bay:
Top end rebuild , accuspark electronic ignition, accuspark plugs leads rotor and cap. new radiator and electric fan conversion. A new starter motor fitted a new alternator, new water pump , new timing belt kit and new v belts a new set of custom made power steering hoses (yes this capri is a 2.0l with power steering) and powder coated rocker cover cam cover and inlet manifold the carbs were rebuilt by JR performance,it has a bolt on K&N and has a manual choke conversion fitted.

Suspension:
Refurbished rear springs from a 2.8 front springs are -2" with refurbished uprights and new gaz inserts rear shocks are gaz golds adjustable (50 settings) new link arms and the rear axle has been "x"braced and everything has been poly bushed through out, new ball joints, new track rod ends, and new gators too.

Interior:
The trim comes from a late 2.8 car it is grey recaro cloth which is in fantastic condition for its age the carpets are great with no holes or wear etc. There is a few bits of trim that are showing there age and have a few battle scars, but it does have a original parcel shelf. No Speakers or stereo.

Body work:
The car has a cartel body kit fitted this is showing some signs of age it has some cracks to the bumper tops, but its not bad at all and is in keeping with the character of the car. The underside has been wax oiled everywhere this car was stripped to a bare Shell then rebuilt. The body was painted in Nato green - not to every bodies taste, but its definitely different the bonnet boot lid and sunroof have been vinyl wrapped by JR Performance and the headlamps have been tinted yellow to give the euro look. The petrol tank has been removed stripped cleaned and treated, then under sealed and re fitted with new fittings and and stainless tank straps to add a bit of bling.

Brakes:
It has new discs new shoes, new wheel cylinders, new hand brake cables, new master cylinder, new lines and new flexible braided hoses the drums were reconditioned along with the calipers.

Wheels:
The wheels are 17" multi fit with 25mm spacers to fill the arches the back wheels have good tyres and the front 2 are almost new.

Summary
The engine and 4 speed has 86k and can be seen on the original clocks in the car it runs real well.
The Capri has mot till 1st october 2014 and is taxed till the end of march 2015. There is a couple of things that aren't perfect like the kick panels by the doors that show signs of age. . It does have the odd mark, there is also a spot of rust on drivers wing, but easily sorted the 4 speed "rocket"box has a home made mount not the prettiest, but it works (Shell is 5 speed) and finally the brakes well everything is new, But they are from a 30+ year old design so are not the best in the world. They definitely work and passed the mot with an advisory, but as the garage said it had done less than 250 miles sense the previous mot so probably due to being stood.
So here it is i think its time for someone else to appreciate it and it all works and drives fine. I have been using as a daily driver and will still be using it now until it sells.
I may be interested in a p/x swap cash either way for the right car

if you don't like the colour, it was NATO green before, and the colour is only a wrap so can easily be put back to the NATO green colour as i know the yellow is not to everyones taste
