Hey guys.

Got 2012 Ford Mondeo Ecoboost 200hp. Just got my stage 2 tune after getting turbo back exhaust installed "apparently first in the world that Bluefin UK has ever done this for lol". The boost gauge I've had installed is showing me as getting 19PSI. Apparently Ecoboosts are generally around 17 which sounds crazy high to me?

A lot of performance cars run a lot more than that, often they have to have 35PSI boost gauges, things like diesel dragsters often run 100+ PSI and have 2-stage compressor set-ups - a stock deisel often runs 25PSI, i use a 30PSI boost gauge and the boost controller i use goes up to 100PSI

So 17 or 19 PSI does not sound high to me (a remapped car often runs a bit more boost, too)

Also - depending where you connect the boost gauge to you may get a different reading - eg there is a pressure drop across the intercooler (higher in, lower out - between the intercooler and the inlet manifold is often a good place) and the lower- velocity sections of the boost hoses will show a higher pressure, on top of that gauges are rarely accurate
