ralph
Hi I've recently bought a 2nd hand set of ford alloys with winter tyres ready for next winter off eBay. I would like to know how is best to store them..... Upright, or flat on their backs..... Pumped up or air removed? I currently have them stacked on top of each other on their backs, in tyre bags, pumped up to the correct pressure but if anyone has any other alternative suggestions please say! Thanks Ralph Sent from my iPad using Ford OC
Pete80
Fine as they are mate, never store tyres upright as they go out of shape Sent from my SM-N9005 using Ford OC mobile app

Stoney871
I'd also suggest that you put something between the bottom tyre and the ground to remove the risk of condensation.. Stack two high only so you reduce the risk of knocking them over or causing distortion of the sidewall due to excess weight on them. I'd also say give the rims and tyres a good wash with a brush/car soap and ensure you get all dirt, brake dust, road salt off them to reduce the risk of rust/corrosion/cracking rubber then let them dry thoroughly before packing into the storage bags.
