Kye
I'm a little bit jealous in all honesty. I had a 30 minute go on one and loved every moment of it! I'd love a biff on an RS 500 but I might be waiting a long time before that happens. :P

May have to source one out just to test drive it haha!
jamesm182
Hi Alec, welcome to the club! :) Great choice on the ST, I owned a 2008 ST3 one for a couple of years and loved it. In terms of mods there's loads you can do it just depends on how much you want to spend. A great cheap mod is to get the exhaust de-resonated. This removes the smaller silence on the back box and makes it sound like an aftermarket cat back (pops and bangs more often plus generally a bit deeper) for a sensible price. Most exhaust specialists will do it for between £40 and £80. Also, they respond really well to remaps. I had a bluefin on mine and the difference it makes in mind blowing. Make sure you save up for an RS clutch though as the extra torque can make the clutch slip. DMB overlays for the badges are always a nice cheap mod too! Give me a shout if you need any other tips I'm quite clued up on ST's!

I was looking at the bluefin as a future mod as you gain around an extra 60BHP ish without any mod upgrades which is well worth the money. May look at the exhaust silencer, will see how it sounds when ive driven it for a few weeks! Probably will want it sounding louder haha. Ive heard about the clutches, how much is an RS one roughly including fitting? Alec
ben1191
2016 focus rs is apparently going to have around 350bhp(same as an rs500) Id like an st/rs before I'm 25 :D Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC

Alec Yes the bluefin is well worth it. 60bhp is probably a little optimistic but it's not far away and the torque you gain is staggering. I put it back to standard before I sold it and the difference was amazing. Although it's still a quick car it did feel noticeably slower! For a complete RS clutch kit including flywheel you're looking at between £800 and £1000 fully fitted including VAT from a specialist. ben1191
How much of that's labour? Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
jamesm182
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-GENUINE-FORD-FOCUS-RS-MK2-2005-2011-FLYWHEEL-CLUTCH-BEARING-KIT-ST-UPGRADE-/190882046432?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Cars+Type%3A2.5+RS%7CModel%3AFocus&hash=item2c7174e1e0 That's the part from eBay so if you can still get it for around £800 fitted that's pretty good!
